We booked the New Cocohut via a great Malaysia travel agent called Ping Anchorage. We booked an all inclusive 3D/2N package which included two nights stay for 4 people, 2 breakfast/2 lunches/2 dinners including BBQ dinner, 2 snorkelling trips, and return boat transfer from Kuala Besut ferry terminal to the beach at Cocohut. The cost was MYR 390 / person.
The food was simply fantastic and abundant. The snorkelling was great. The staff were extremely friendly and helpsul. We had a seaview hut which we recommend over any other accomodation here. The huts are clean but very basic. The beach is quite nice though there are some corals. I would recommend this hotel to other travellers but if I would return to Perhentian I would probably book the Perhentian Island Resort. It was a little more upmarket and the beach there is much better than at the Cocohut.
We recommend this place for backpackers, families and couples who want a budget holiday. While we were here there were a lot of families with very young children/babies.

The transferts from/to train station to jetty were perfect, we did not have to wait, and the people were nice.

I just wanted to drop you a quick note and say what a great holiday we had in NE Malaysia.  We very much enjoyed all the resorts you booked us into with the Laguna and the Lakeview ones being the most enjoyable.  The snorkelling was definitely a lot better at Perhentian so we were glad we went there.The way you organised the holiday, the smooth travel arrangements and the enjoyable resorts made it a great time for my family.  The food was very delicious.

  I just got back to work today and returned from KB late Tuesday evening. The trip was fantastic!! Perhentian is a great island and I loved every minute of it. Wish my stay was longer. I would definitely make a trip up there again once the monsoon season is over. Thanx a lot for all your help! Fara
