Island Dive Site
1. Teluk Pauh ** **
Expectation - Average depth is 1 m (40 in) and max depth is
less than 3 m (10 ft). A gentle slope, ideal for check out
dives. A lot of small parrotfish, stingray, varieties of sea
cucumber, might also see the occasional small White tip reef
shark.
2. Tiga
Ruang *** ***
Expectation - Average depth is 8 m (26 ft) and max depth is 12 m (40
ft). Boulders line the site going down to the corals and sand,
occasional coral heads also present. Home to schools of yellowtail,
small parrotfish, boxfish and puffer fish.
3. Tanjung Besi ***
Expectation - Average depth is 12 m (40 ft) and max depth is 24 m
(80 ft). Site offers caves and overhangs amidst a jumble of boulders
going down to the sand. As it is open sea to the north, pelagic
species are present. Also home to schools of snappers, jacks,
fusiliers, giant groupesr, wrasse and sweetlips. Small, soft corals
abound i.e. Christmas-tree worm.
4. Laluan Naga

Expectation - Average depth is 12 m (40 ft) and max depth is 18 m
(60 ft). Jumble of big boulders descending to the sand. Some good
soft corals, patches of boulder corals and local species of
angelfish, butterflyfish, filefish and pufferfish.
5. Terumbu Tiga
(Tiger Rock) ****
Expectation - Average depth is 10 m (33 ft) and max of 20 m (65 ft).
One of the best dive sites in terms of corals and marine life.
Boasts some of the biggest soft corals where shallow rocks are
carpeted with leathery soft corals and soft purple tree corals.
Barrel sponges covered with sea cucumbers also abound. Marine life
includes barracudas, bumphead, jacks and feather stars. There is
also a small cavern where white tip sharks can be spotted.

7. Tanjung Tukas ***
Expectation - Average depth is 12 m (40 ft) and max depth is 18 m
(60 ft). Jumble of boulders descending to the sand with good stony
corals and soft corals. Sighting of shovelnose ray shark on
occasion.
8. Teluk Dalam ** **
Expectation - Average depth is 9 m (30 ft) and max depth is 12 m (40
ft).Jumble of rocks going down to the sand. The deeper rocks support
the black coral species. Sea anemonies, sea stars, shells and
nudibranch abound.
9. Gua Kambing *** ***
Expectation - Average depth is 9 m (30 ft) and max depth is 15 m (50
ft). Jumble of boulders going down to sandy bottom. Pufferfish,
filefish, parrotfish, and butterfly fish. Try your luck, you might
see lobster around the coral!!!!!
10. Shipwreck -
Pasir Tani ***
Expectation - Average depth is 22 m (72 ft) and max depth is 24 m
(80 ft). This is the remaining half of a steel landing craft bearing
Vietnamese boat people. It was being towed to Kuala Besut for
repairs when it sank in 1976. Home to barracudas, batfish, snapper,
wrasse, jacks, groupers and stingray.
11. Pasir
Kerangi : PVC - Pipe Artificial Reef ****
Expectation - Average depth is 18 m (60 ft) and max depth is 18 m
(60 ft). Artificial Reef made of open latticework of polyvinyl
chloride pipes anchored down on sand in 1991. It is quite amazing,
the growth on the pipes in such a short time. Soft tree corals up 80
cm (30 in) high, sponges and black corals.
12. Pulau
Serenggeh : South End ***
Expectation - Average depth is 12 m (40 ft) and max depth is 21 m
(70 ft). Jumble of rocks descending to the sand with small soft
corals. Good fish life where King fish, nudibranch and bamboo sharks
can be sighted. Previously known as Barracuda Point because of the
regular barracuda sightings.
13. Tanjung
Panglima Abu ** **
Expectation - Average depth is 12 m (40 ft) and max depth is 18 m
(60 ft). The boulders provide an interesting backdrop for novice
divers. The Napoleon wrasse may be seen swimming around towards the
deeper end.
14. Tanjung
Butung ***
Expectation - Average depth is 18 m (60 ft) and max depth is 25 m
(82 ft). Jumble of rocks descending to the sand at 25 m (80 ft).
Good variety of fish life including trevallies, filefish, snapper
and jacks.
15. Tokong Laut ****
Expectation - Average depth is 10 m (30 ft) and max depth is 24 m
(80 ft). Jumble of large boulders going down to the sand. Very good
marine life where you could find small ell, schools of jacks,
butterfly fish, angelfish, trevellies, nurse sharks underneath the
rocks, razorfish. The corals include soft tree coral, black corals,
sea fans, stinging hydroids and harp corals.
16. Pulau Susu Dara Besar - North
Side ****
Expectation - Average depth is 10 m (33 ft) and max depth is 18 m
(60 ft). Marine life is similar to Tokong Laut (Dive site #15) but
less coral life.
17. Pulau Susu
Dara Kecil - North Side ****
Expectation - Average depth is 10 m (33 ft) and max depth is 18 m
(60 ft). Marine life is similar to Tokong Laut (Dive site #15) but
corals are not so plentiful.
18. Tokong
Bopeng - North Side ****
Expectation - Average depth is 10 m (33 ft) and max depth is 21 m
(70 ft). Fish life is good and plentiful but corals are not aplenty.
19. Tokong
Burung Kecil ***
Expectation - Average depth is 9 m (39 ft) and max depth is 20 m (65
ft). JJumble of boulders descending to the sand. Quite good for
corals but marine life is not so brilliant.
20. Pulau Rawa
: Southeast Corner ***
Expectation - Average depth is 15 m (50 ft) and max depth is 27 m
(90 ft). Comprises of big boulders forming caves and tunnels you can
swim into and through. There are some soft corals, black corals and
sea fans
21. Teluk Kerma ***
Expectation - Average depth is 13 m (43 ft) and max depth is 18 m
(60 ft). There are a some stony corals and many species of puffer
fish. Might be able to spot bump head parrotfish, snappers and
stingrays.
22. Batu Nisan ***
Expectation - Average depth is 10 m (33 ft) and max depth is 15 m
(50 ft). Hard corals going down to the sandy bottom. Giant stingray,
turtle and nudibranch.
